6 doe we’re coming to me, neighbor decided it was chainsaw test time, wide open. I think you know how the rest of the story goes.
Tomorrow morning I am headed to Nevada to golf for a few days. You kids hold down the fort and kill some deer!
You did good! 106 points is more than I'll put up. To bad they don't allow your elk for some points. I know how you feel Oldcarp. if we lose by a few points. I'll think it's my fault for missing my buck.
I’ll be out of the loop for a bit, in-laws are moving and I’m the on-call son in law for all the repairs and moving. I don’t think a buck is in my season, but I should be able to put a doe on the table. Worst case two doe.
Thanks Farmer Rick and Fletch. I had a fun and enjoyable time. Farmer Rick I wish they would count an elk or moose for the doe. Where I live you don’t always draw a deer tag. Those of you that have hunted elk know it’s a lot of work.
I made the drive to Wattensaw WMA in Arkansas yesterday. I got here at 11:00, got in a tree at 2:30 and dropped a public land buck at 4:00. Terrible shot, I know, but like I said in the LFTS thread, I’ve never seen a deer die more quickly from an arrow, not even on TV. I let him hang overnight and got back in the same tree this morning and had a good buck cruise by at about 80 yards 35 minutes ago.
Finally our Wisconsin gun season is over.... it was brutal to say the least. We were fortunate to get three does off the property so far, and hoping for 1-2 more between bow and our other couple gun seasons. With that said I will be putting a pause on my season as I will be leaving next Tuesday for South Dakota for my buffalo hunt, and then down to Nebraska afterwards for some public mulie/whitetail action. Then finally will be back in Wisconsin to get Ty... I mean, the team a doe.
