I honestly do not know what happened to the neighbors swamp sanctuary. I have NEVER seen it this empty. It has to be the lastck of doe up here.
He hasn't worked the wood lot too much. Since the shooting death few ever hunt it. He only allows the nephew an his kids . I don't think his son hunt any more and the nephews camp was empty last night. It has always held a bunch of big buck, not this year.
Most of my buck have been gotten going in or coming out of there.

Beautiful afternoon!! Been in the stand for an hour now. Squirrels are staying busy. Leaves are crunchy. Let’s see what happens. Saw a good young 8pt this morning and a couple of does.

    Good Luck, everyone!!

I'm up in stand also. Only got in for the last 45 minutes. Nothing so far. Usually they are out by now, not looking good.

Prime time came and went and I didn’t see jack squat. Snow is down to about 8” from 54” … it should all be gone by next week… it’s almost over … man that came and went awfully fast

Ended up seeing 5 tonight. 2 does, fawn and 2 small bucks. All right at last light. 4 of them stuck around under my stand for over 30 minutes and I was stuck. Finally they got spooked and ran off. Short and fun hunt. One buck came in grunting.

I was in my back yard tonight, so they were all coming to food. Winter wheat field.

Anything green. Lots of farmers once cut there crops put in winter wheat. So all those properties you scouted with crops, should be winter wheat, I would check them. After that green briar thickets, some vines, like virgina creeper are big attractors. Some types of evergreen trees are good. You will see the brose line on them. Once again winter scouting will show all this and will set you up better for next year.

Find a green field or freshly cut corn. They gotta eat. Maybe some long distance recon will help you nail down the spot on the spot to hang a stand.

Says the guy that still hasn't killed a buck! Lol good luck brother!

Sat with the rifle this afternoon, saw zip. Got back to the car, got everything in the car, can't find my glasses, @$&&#!! Left them at the base of the tree...looking for your glasses, in the woods, in the dark...yeah it sucks. But, found them!
