Crazy duck hunter here again. Can’t sleep because I’m so excited for the hunt. It’s 11:00 and I’m leaving my house at 2AM for the hunt lol…I should be up in a tree Friday to get us 50 anything antlerless is down

I should say why im excited to hunt. Since Friday, in this general area our group has almost shot over 100 ducks in 4 mornings…that’s HOT

I'm in a tree looking for that 8 again. I only have a couple tight windows to shoot if he follows the same line as last time. It's nice out.

 

Just 5 does tonight.

Just some chasing in the distance for me. Supposed to rain in the morning and I don't know how much. I'll be back in there at some point tomorrow

 

Winds look unfavorable for most of my morning stand but favorable for the evening.

Have learned I can't make mistakes with late season deer. They are just SO wired after gun season!

 

I have a feeling about tonight. Could just be gas...
I need to kill this buck.

 

Here is one of the bucks that is still alive in Iowa. He is pretty narrow but he’s got junk everywhere. I found his left side 2 years ago.

 

Git out n kill him!

`been super slow here.
Usually a good week to see bucks cruising.
Not this year.

 

Sister in law missed a good one tonight. She had everyone thinking she smoked it. We go to track and find her arrow with nothing ha. Still trying to get Ashley one with no luck…

I don't know when I'll get out again. Unfortunately it only gets tougher to kill one now to late season, since I don't really have a concentrated food source to create any reliable movement patterns. I'll keep trying obviously. This is pretty much my only hobby.

 

Our team could sure use a couple more does at least.
