They just announced a trade… tynimiller to team 4 and Tony to team 12… see ya, Ty! Hey guys! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well we are knee deep in our Wisconsin gun season here, and frankly probably one of the more disappointing openers I have had. Going into the season I had five 3 1/2 yr old bucks that made me excited for the 2023 season, but they and 8 other bucks got shot on the surrounding properties. Certainly can't take the harvests away from the people that respect the animals, but most of my neighbors treat deer with little respect which is shown in the amount of pop shots and wounded deer we have annually on our land from them. What gets me down more is that we have a gross number of doe on our properties and they are mainly meat hunters but refuse to shoot any doe (insert your laugh here Ty). So if we do win this thing this year, I am going to be putting all of my eggs into my out of state hunt basket. For now going to take my six year old boy out this weekend to take a doe with the gun, and then focus on shooting that late season doe as a present for Ty .
Nothing but a doe and fawn across the field, slow night. If it’s not pouring Friday afternoon, I’ll give it another go.
Glad you were able to get out Can’t shoot from the couch I’m going out Friday afternoon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The gun hunters sound like they’re having luck, I’m staring at button buck, nothing else so far. It rained lightly all night, I’m hoping they’ll be on their feet soon.
Side note, to add to all the other whining I’ve done this year, land owner gave his friend permission to hunt here with his two sons. So now there will be 3 rifles hunters running around here. Going to have to make some ring happen soon.
Hopefully they can push something to you. With no tags left until late season I talked a good game about going out this morning but with the light rain I pussed out. That and I’ve never seen a bear while hunting in my 30+ years in the woods. Good luck S.McArthur.
