Posted…I had to use the same pictures as she was frozen to the bed of truck after being washed out Sorry I’ll do better next time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No need to be sorry Brett. They show the deer, your bow and you. That’s all that the rules require. I got it entered and we’re back in second place for now. Now go kill a 157” buck and we will be back in first place.
Could be worse...you could have to try and kill an antlerless in Wisconsin.... LOL (I swear we spend as much time giving eachother crap as we do support....I LOVE IT! )
I’m back on stand on my own property for the third sit since I got home from public land. I’ve had deer on camera in daylight d and lost every day but as soon as I get on stand they are no-shows. I swear they know when I’m going to be here. Somehow they know.
Oh if it were that easy LOL I am unsure when I'll be back out....frigid temps this week may lead me to see if Pops is going and if he isn't I might grab his crossbow so I can bundle all warm and cozy and not have to worry about drawing LOL The winds for Friday and Saturday (only days I might be able to hunt) are not conducive for the blind so it will be a stand if I go.
Up until this last Saturday like 65-75 LOL Then it dropped and this week Today has the highest high of 35, rest of week all below freezing with lows in the teens.
Yeah, that’s a bit colder than what I’m hunting in. Our lows here have been between 20 and 27 for the past five days. I sure wish I could find my Arctic Shield snooty Covers.
I do have boot covers and I have to use them when it gets bad in stand because I cannot wear my rubber 1200 gram insulated boots due to foot sweat...I had to switch to leather/canvas style boots and only have my 400 gram Danner Pronghorns. Hasn't been in the budget for their 800 gram insulated versions....so I make do with toe warmers and then some times on top of that the boot covers/blanket things with hand warmers in them.
Even when the temps are in the teens all I wear for boots is Hoka hiking boots with no insulation. I just wear fluffy wool socks, put a toe warmer on top and put the boot covers on before I climb up. My feet don’t sweat at all and they stay nice and warm. I’m a total wuss when it comes to my feet or hands getting cold.
Brett little update....just needs to be a 106 and change buck now thanks to @farmer rick You got this!
You sonofa..... hahahaha. Set up two ground blinds for late season over some of my turnip/radish plots. Once we get through gun season, muzzleloader, and my out of state hunts I will be in one of those two blinds going after a big ol' slickhead. I need to shoot 3-4 still this year for herd management but between busy everyday life stuff and out of state hunts my time has been limited.
