Show low temps around 0* this weekend for morning lows. I (can) do it but I doubt I will. When I was younger, I sat out in crazy blizzards and _40* windchill. So cold I couldn't even pull back my bow. Older and (a bit wiser) now. I'll endure a bit of pain but now I just wanna have FUN hunting. Well see how pans out.?

So true, I know I’ve been MIA but work has been an MFer. On top of that my buddy got a call and has to back offshore Tuesday so we have to cut the hunt a day short. Then I get called for a phone interview tomorrow at 0900 on a potential new position with the Navy as a program manager of shipbuilding. As soon as that is complete I’m in the stand for my last hunt to try and tag my doe. It’s been a hell of a few months.
We are getting hammered the next few days with 2-4ft of snow. That will stop gun opening for most.I'll be out trying anything to get a buck down for us but after the snow stops the idiots with booms sticks from coming out it's pretty much over. Hard lesson learned this year, but good for the team. I planned on firearm hunting for the first time ever this year. Went to buy my tags for county and they are cut off. Max has been reached. No firearm hunting for me this year. Kind of a downer. Really wanted to stock up the freezer this year with food prices and knew firearm was a good way to get it done. Strictly bowhunting this year.
Its funny looking back on all of the conditions I used to sit in trying to get it done, too. I won't sit in 80% of those these days.
