Hope to get one of my grandkids an opportunity on this buck. Do you think he needs culled from the herd? STC_0258.jpg

Well I’m headed back up for another mini rutcation until Sunday. Hopefully the deer will be moving more than last week. I’ll keep you guys updated.

Got back to the lease yesterday and did a evening hunt, nothing seen at all. About to head in shortly but it's starting to rain again lightly. Gonna sip on my coffee and watch the weather. Have no action on my cameras for 2 days now, it's like the deer ghosted.

Not sure, but I’ll let you know.
Didn’t go out tonight, too warm, or so I thought.
Should have sat on the front porch. This guy walked through the front yard with 10 minutes of legal light left. Dang the luck, but I found a new target buck. 5D0FB59C-61D2-475C-9D39-9C6CB31E8236.jpeg

Been super slow again this week for me. Seen a few doe, but nothing close, and one small buck. I’m guessing they’re all hanging close to the corn fields, and they just aren’t that close to where I can hunt. I’ll be back out tomorrow morning, all it takes is one deer and it can happen fast!

Working again tonight until midnight. With time falling back, I think I'll sleep in a little in the morning. Plan to be in the stand by 10am and hunt until dark. Mid-day could be good.

Finally getting a little action…just had our #2 buck at 37 yards, but he came in where I wasn’t expecting, so there was too much brush and I couldn’t get a shot.

A little change of scenery for today's hunt. Not by choice. I rushed around to get out and forgot my harness. Setting in my son's ladder stand. We have killed several good bucks and a pile of does from it. 20221106_102642.jpg

Just a new buck that showed up the day I left. Still hanging around a hot doe. Won't be back until Thursday and hopefully they haven't moved. [IMG][IMG]

Looks like I made a bad decision by not hurting this morning. Switching to crossbow for tomorrow morning. Can't shoot my bow without standing in tripod. STC_0025.jpg

Been hunting quite a bit. Passed up a decent 8 about 4 days ago.

    Hunting over a decoy tonight.

Thought I had a rodeo banquet to attend tonight. Miscommunication, it's next Sunday. I'm back out this evening. Hope big boy shows up.

Saw 8 does and 2 bucks. One was definitely a shooter. He was bird dogging one of the does. I watched him chase her around for 15 minutes. At one time, they were within 35 yards but didn't offer me a good shot. Going out again in the morning.

Update on the hunting season. Hunted once in Alabama and didn't see a deer. Got cameras hung up on the parents place in Ohio and we have some nice studs showing up on camera. Heading up a day or two before Thanksgiving. As soon as we return from that trip im dropping the family off and heading to southeastern Kansas to stay with church friends that live on the state line and will be hunting in Oklahoma the first week of December. Here are the Ohio bucks.
