First sit for whitetails this year. Had a small 7 pt push three does behind me. Must have gotten a bit of my stank because they acted funny and turned. Does went into a thick swampy area snd buck went back in the direction I first saw him. The three does came out 30 minutes later into a shooting lane. 27 yds. Big momma had to weigh 150 lbs but she picked me out before I could shoot her. Lots of head bobs and stomps later they left. Scrapes and rubs appearing all over. Good luck guys. It's the most wonderful time of the year.
Back home from Ohio. It was an uneventful weekend. Headed back on Friday. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Two sits this weekend, saw a six and a few does, the big boys are still nocturnal. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting .com Forums
I agree that the mature bucks are still nocturnal. I only have pictures of one 3 year old 8 point in daylight. No 4 year olds yet. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Heading out at noon tomorrow to sit the down wind side of the sanctuary bedding area. It bumps up against a winterweat field. Will be hunting off the ground in a familiar spot that I have seen big ones cruise. Probably hunt till dark. Excited about the possibility of seeing the big boy! It's time!!!!
Yesterday's hunt was frustrating. Got in and was settled when the wind decided to do a 180. Of course it did and my scent blew right into bedding area. Friggin weather man! Then the neighbors dog comes through the thicket and decided to lay down beside me. Sat for 6 hours an finally saw a small 8 point out in the wheat field 140 yards out. Grunted at him to see what he do. Well it was like a lightning blot hit an he took off pronto. Pics of my setup yesterday
At least you're starting to see bucks on their feet in daylight. I got picture last night and this morning of 2 different bucks in daylight. One is a 14 point 3.5 year old and a 8 point with 6" and 7" brow tines that is a 4.5 year old. The magic is about to happen. I'm stuck at work until Friday morning. I'm only seeing spikes at home, but something decent usually shows up in November.
I'm loading the truck tonight and headed to Ohio in the morning. I don't like the weather forecast but it's go time.
Heading out in AM, cold front incoming. May be snowing or raining. Bring it on! Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk

Not hunting today At the house getting ready to smoke the hams off my button. I have aged it for a week now. Should be some fine eating. My oldest and her family are joining us for dinner tonight to chow on it. Gonna have some cheesy tater casserole and garden green beans. Pre smoke pics.
I’ve always wanted to try that. I bet it’s really good. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
