Thanks for the feedback guys. Camp is set up. Belly is full. 10 hrs to go and 4 straight days to grind.
Hit the live from the stamd thread, Team 14 has some more antlers on the ground. Congrats again @camo75
About 8:00am today I spotted this buck moving stalks in the corn. He was working towards bedding but got into it with another buck. They tussled for a quick spar and then he just stood there. At about 50 yards out I hit a soft grunt and he really didn’t do anything but slowly continue on his path. I did a little snort wheeze after he got out of my sight. Next thing I know he is back to my left and smelling trees. So I hit the grunt again and he came over, made a scrape and entered the woods. At the first opening I let him have it. Really fun hunt today. Here’s my little buddy on his first recovery.
Sat for 3 hours tonight. It was a bit windy but the wind was in the exact right direction for one of my stands. Ended up seeing a red fox early and a doe with two fawns right before last light. They were at 50 and fed the wrong way. Anything was better than watching the end of the packer game. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Posted in the score thread. With a couple broken tine’s it was just shy of 100. I will work on another 50 to add. Good luck guys hope your enjoying some stand time.
I got it early afternoon, planned on taking a nap and string fresh this morning but I couldn’t sleep a wink. I went out to an easy stand for the last couple hours, they just cut the beans on Saturday so the deer are still cleaning them up. Seen a few does.
This morning I am at the end of a food plot, I can shoot the plot but the attraction is that it backs up to a saddle between to ridges, really nice spot for a big buck to cross. Not the type of stand you will see a lot of deer.
We have bunch of different bucks on cam, there are two I especially i like…but I am more seeing what happens, if it has a big body and mature… I will probably send an arrow.
Hunting in the timber tonight, the area finally got some rain. Slowing up a little but still windy. Figured this was bit sheltered from the wind. There are two big tub lines, they intersect below the stand, one runs along the bench below me, and the other runs up to a bean field about 150 yards up the hill through the woods behind me.
