I can't believe how green the vegetation looks there. We've had several hard frosts, and everything is changing.

 

The thicket stays green pretty late every year.

I saw a small 8, 2 does and fawns and then as I was packing up a buck walked by at 20 yards but I couldn’t tell what it was. I could see rack and big body but it was too dark. I’m getting ready to head back out this morning. Good luck team.

Got call from SIL last night that he had to work today. We will be going in the morning now. Spent the day getting wood stacked up under the carport off the garage and burning a cedar stump up.

Suppose to have SSE wind tomorrow. Not a great wind for my lease. Will have to hunt does going into bedding area and hope a buck is following. Next three weeks should be awesome!

I have seen 9 toms and a little button buck. Would shoot a turkey if they got close enough. Gonna give it another 30 minutes...

 

I only saw 1 deer this morning and it was that same 2.5 year old 10 point. My step mother shot a 2.5 year old 8 point this morning.

Going to give it a break today and go fishing. It's going to hit 80 by afternoon.

My SIL is coming for an overnight visit and she loves my deep fried fish. So off to the farm for some fresh bluegills this morning.

Ill probably throw in my 308 and check zero on it while I'm there.

 

Back on stand for my last sit this trip. Haven’t seen any shooters show up yet here but it’s getting that time of the year when they could show up.

Good luck Dmax... My cameras at the lease showed a big decrease in daylight movement this past week. Front coming in tomorrow. Hope it gets them moving.

 

My cameras are showing the same thing. All at night. I’m hoping by next weekend that changes.
