I think you should let me name him? It did work on the last buck, just saying.

Got a stand hung 3/4 of the way. Need a few more straps and hooks and I'll be good to go. Cameras are out. Went to the back of the property where I have another stand and it is not huntable. Attached are pictures of the trees around my stand from the tornado damage. The root ball is probably 10ft tall or more. I mean these are BIG trees that got shredded. I'll have to figure out what to do with that stand.

Hard to see but that’s a scrape under that cedar tree. We started it last week and they have been hitting it everyday. Hopefully one comes by before dark.

Storm damage can be cleaned up but those root balls are a pain to deal with. Hopefully the silver lining will that area will become some really great bedding.

Sorry everyone! I've been absent. So much has happen since opening day. My parents came down with Covid . And my wife an I both got it while caring for my parents.
My dad has Dementia and mom has respiratory issue. We lost my dad yesterday. He has gone to be with our lord and isn't suffering no more.
He got me started hunting and was my hunting partner 40+ years. We only had each other to hunt with for most of those years. when he had to stop hunting it was very hard to deal with. But i understood. I continued to hunt mostly by myself. Then my son in-law asked about hunting. Now I have a new hunting buddy.
It's been a rough week. I hope to get back out soon. I need the quiet of my deer stand. I appreciate any and all prayers
Sorry for the rambling. Good luck everyone

Okay guys, so I didn’t see anything yesterday evening… wind started swirling early on and it was just so hot. Didn’t hunt at all today because of the heat. I’m planning on going in the morning if it isn’t storming and the wind is right.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I know it is very hard. I will pray that the peace that passes all understanding will be with you. Have you and your wife recovered completely from covid? It's important that you do not push yourself too hard after a bout with that.

Sometimes cell cams are helpful. Woke up to go get in the stand this morning and that big buck was already there. Just sat and watched pics of him and stayed in bed. I’ll try for him again this evening. He’s gotten a little better since last year. Although it stinks because he’s either missing or broke his brow tine.

He looks like a porker. That pot belly. Does kind of look like he broke his brow. Shows that he is a little aggressive, might be good Intel for if you need to call him in closer. Might respond better if he is a bully.
