Dang Jim that’s awful, if I had a X bow I’d send it your way!

Jim, that stinks. One always needs a back up crossbow. :) Any archery shops around?

Oh yeah. I learned very quickly that with a crossbow, you have to have a backup bow. Those things just seem to have alot of things that will fail. I've already talked to the manufacturer and I think he will probably have it fixed by the end of next week. But like I said, DO have a backup bow.

Thanks brother, that's very kind of you and I appreciate the thought. I do have a backup bow. With a crossbow, its almost mandatory.

Headed back out, across the road from the house and sit next to a corn field.

Should be does running in and out of corn. I have about an 18-25 yard open space between wood line and corn field. Tree stand on the edge of wood line

I’m not stoked with this NE wind, but I’m pretty confident I’ll get a crack at a doe and see some bucks, if it was SW I could almost guarantee I’d see and potentially shoot my one target buck. He’s been super consistent. Time will tell, I’ll prob get skunked lol !!

Just got set up, wasn’t planning on an evening hunt today so I had to come up with a game plan, I don’t hunt this spot very often but the conditions are perfect. The deer often bed on this hillside back behind some cabins, they have the wind at their back for where most hunters approach from and can see down hill a ways. I cut a trail in here to sneak in close 3 years ago and the deer have been using it like crazy. There are 3 trails going into the “bedroom” in a 40 yard span. All 3 have good and somewhat fresh sign on them. I should be within 100 when they get up and move, hoping within 50. They will be right ontop of me before I see them with the thick canopy infront of me, but with the wind at my face and good cover in front they shouldn’t be able to bust me until it’s too late. Goodluck PM shift let’s see some more blood today!!!
