Well I'm out and had a catastrophe when I got back to the truck. I went to uncock my devil bow, it's designed that way and I've done it many times, and it dry fired. So now I have to take the bow apart and ship the cocking mechanism back to the manufacturer for repair. What a way to start the season. Bummed!

Need to do birthday dinners tonight for my wife and youngest daughter...they picked a brewery for dinner. Who am I to complain?

I am tucked up next a creek. Hoping those does and fawns come back this way for a drink before bedding. Going to gove until 10 am.

Good luck on the track Ash. That is alot of blood, think it may be safe to say you will find a dead deer at the end of that.

I checked a couple online sources and they were all sold out also. Looks like that's a popular arrow this year.

Walking out and I kicked up that huge doe in the thick **** along the trail by my fire pit… she bounded of to 30 yards and stopped… she was looking towards me but after 5 minutes walked slowly away. Damn… she is so big.. I know she lives right near the house with her fawn … I should really put a stand up over there but it is so close to the house it would feel weird

Looks like what I thought was good blood might be liver. I had deer pop up all around me and 3 good does walking together. I had to unhook my release and put my harness tether under my arm to draw because she was on my off side. I really flubbed an easy 20 yarder. Sorry guys. Need to try to get some permission to track.

I am down, nothing after the does and fawns around 9 am. Going to find a better tree for that side of the thicket for next time.

Came home changed clothes getting ready to go back in. I watched that deer lick it’s wound and stand around for awhile then slowly walk over the hill. I think I hit a branch on the shot causing it to go low? Have to get on it it’s warming up fast.

Sportsmans.com has some 5mm fmjs available online...decent price is debatable.
