Good luck all. Have to be honest just rolled out of bed.
I put on clean sheets , took a hot shower and went to bed. An hour later I woke up to a pain in my right leg/hip. Plus right sinus completely packed.. WTH.. I then tossed and turned blew my nose drank a gallon of seltzer water( exaggeration there). To clear throat. Alarm went off and I just turned it off. Finally around 5 I found a comfy position and fell asleep.
My own fault, save sinus, I did something I was told I just can't do yesterday. I will be out tonight. Stupid, just stupid.

Seen 2 does. I had to cough. The one doe spooked and blew for 10 minutes straight, after I coughed. they were 50-60 yards out. Wind at my back blowing across me to my left. She was to my right. So I know she didn't smell me.

In this spot if the deer aren't here by 930ish they are not coming. Giving it another 20 or so then heading out. Good luck Camo75 on the tracking that deer.

Coffee is wonderful. Good luck killers.
Take what I say as a grain of salt buddy. Day 1 and those deer haven't felt any pressure. They could be bedded 50 yards from the food sources and not with ideal bedding spots if there are no other predators. Just slink along that southern border with the North wind blowing into the fields, checking for the normal signs. If it is just a few droppings or tracks, I would keep going. If you happen onto a beaten down trail with tracks, deer crap, and or white oaks raining down, you probably are on the right track. If not keep pushing along until you hit something that just tells you to stops....could be a scrape line/rubs down a ridge/tons of tracks at the creek. I know this doesn't always happen and I fail a lot more than I succeed, but if I can get in the zone of multiple factors I know my chances are much better (closer to bedding, terrain, cover, edge line, wind in my favor on walk in/intercept from bed to feed). You are a good woodsman and this style will come to you naturally.

Had a really easy blood trail and it dried up. Trying to stay patient. Circled all the way around and made it to open beans.

Couple of does with fawns on the other side of the thicket at 75 yards. My gut said to be on the other side of the thicket, the wind said be on this side. Looked to be feeding on Pin Oaks. There is a nice row of them the drop early October every year.

Anyone know where some Easton 5mm 340 arrows are being sold at a decent price? Been waiting a month for a back order from Lancaster Archery.
