Hopefully he’s ok. That’s a nasty radar picture.

I set up a cell cam the other day. Set it on a screw in arm and now the thing is taking pics of the bottom of the tree pointing straight down.

Rode out and went through the following weeks of absolute hell after Hurricane Ida last year. I don't envy your sons position.

If anyone wanted to help out in any way, find individuals collecting funds, fuel, and water to deliver themselves. Those are much more helpful than donating to the bigger organizations

I'm legal to kill 4 deer as of 6:25am Saturday.

This is going to be new to me hunting mostly new land(know somewhat from mushroom huntingnin the Spring).

I've had it good the past 15 seasons, time to see if what my uncle taught me and what I learned on his land garnered me ny knowledge. I have a few ideas for the rut, but being public land it's gonna be a competition amongst those that think the same way(even if we're all wrong  )

Maybe the one on the left in last picture. These are in Ohio and you only get one and I have a gun hunt in early December that I will be thinking about.

Had a nice buck in my lane but passed. Shot a doe who came in behind me and had a petty loose blood trail that was easy to follow but she made it to a field and I lost blood. The woods were alive this morning. Back out with my little buddy on his first deer hunt.

I will be out tomorrow morning and afternoon for doe patrol on my urban hunt unit. Love having a spot to hunt that is 5 minutes from home. Hopefully get another 50 for us.

Just got back from the moose hunt yesterday, Fiona gave us some delays but it all worked out in the end. Hope everyone is doing well and getting some stand time in. I will post up some pictures of the hunt when I have few minutes.

It is earn-a-buck since the goal of the program is population management.

Heading up to OK after work today. Should be in the tree by morning.

It's SUPER DRY out there. All the pics I am getting are just nighttime does and a couple small bucks.

Fingers crossed I can make something happen

I'll be getting my first hunt of the season in tomorrow. If it doesn't have antlers it's fair game, I'm not sympathetic for fawns.

It's a special lake area draw hunt they started last year. This year they require you to shoot two antlerless before you can take a buck.

Not worth it IMO to take vacation days for this particular property so I only realistically have/had 7 days to hunt. First 2 are already gone, 3 this weekend and 2 next.

If I can kill 2 tomorrow I will then focus on buck sign. Admittedly, I've never really had to DIY hunt so not super confident. I've been spoiled with the best private land the last 15 years.
