Just remember, this law isn't about hunting. It's not limited to hunting land/wooded areas. Say your vehicle breaks down in the roadway or stalls and you're able to push/guide it into a parking lot. It's after hours and unbenownst to you there's signs posted no loitering etc. You innocently missed it getting your car off the roadway or it's posted 100 feet away on the business. You're basically trespassing. Law enforcement pulls up to check things out, runs your ID and asks if you have any weapons. You state you're carrying a concealed firearm and have a permit. Read the above, you are considered to be illegally carrying in NY, doesn't matter if you are legally doing so or not. You are arrested and an over zealous States Attorney tacks on a trespass charge. Sounds absurd and in a lot of places it is, but there are just as absurd cases making their ways through courts all the time. When your local judges/prosecutors and State Supreme Court Justices are anti-gun and Federal appeals judges in your District are all Clinton/Obama appointments things won't go so well. It takes years and lots of money to get a case before the SCOTUS, and it can take just as long before you can even appeal to SCOTUS when the lpwer courts play cat and mouse with the higher courts.
So a side note.... The out of state hunting camp that was a major PITA for trespassing. Put the camp on the market. They did that last year but changed their minds and took it back off...well just went back up. The rental where I had guy arrested for damaging my land...was condemned. From what I hear. Life's getting better...lol

Won't help with ammo purchases. Correct me if wrong but I believe she now has back ground checks to purchase ammo?
