Last night was a pretty fun hunt as I had 5 deer around me, all within under 2 yards at various points. Had a doe with two fawns come in followed by a dinky year old buck. The doe new something was not quite right she couldn't figure it out and they mulled around for about 25 minutes. A short bit later another year old doe came in and just munched on acorns around me for a good while and ended up walking right under me. I opted not to shoot any of the does as I have a NAMI event I have to attend this morning and then a concert with my better half tonight. Hoping to go back out tomorrow morning before I resume being oncall.

Lets get one more down today Team 3. I will be trying my first sticks and hang on climbing adventure this afternoon. I am glad no one will be watching.
Saw my first legal buck. About 35 yards off the road on my way home tonight. 8 pt. - 12 inch spread. I stopped to look, right at dusk. 7:22
I was able to flex some time this morning and got out. Not too productive but did see a small buck, black squirrel, coon, and a bunch of turkeys and other squirrels. A few of those squirrels would have went P&Y....when I got home I started to feel like crap and it's only gotten worse. Good thing is I don't typically stay sick long so maybe I'll get out Friday but we'll see. I won't be able to get out until mid October due to work obligations and being on-call. Good luck as you guys get out!
