Spent the last few days before season opens getting broadheads sharpened up. Opening day is Saturday here. Wish me luck![IMG]

Good luck to the guys getting out already! Safe trips to those chasing the giants out west!!

I’ve been scouting and prepping for the new property I got. Four cell cans running and found some really good sign ups early this week. Going hang stands this next week then stay out until October 1.

Landowner said he saw a giant on the neighbors property the other night. He was going to talk to him about letting me possibly hunt that area as well! This guy is the best buck I’ve had on camera there thus far.[IMG]

We opened yesterday. I went out yesterday morning with no luck. We saw one that looked like it was running from where we saw another hunter walk i to the woods. But it was too far from us and running.
I’m now out of town working for two weeks so i’m hoping I’ll get some time at the end if the month.

Got my new arrows ready to hunt. Messed up one already because they were grouping so tight! After that round I went to shooting just one arrow per dot. I know better! Going over to the lease this afternoon and walk the field edge of the beans looking for sign and scrapes.

Good luck to everybody getting out. I will award a virtual high five to the first person to post points on this thread. I probably won't be able to get to the whitetail woods until the first week in October which will be the longest I've ever waited in my life. Heading out west a week later that usual. Maybe I will get lucky and can get back in time for the week before. I hope he waits for me even though I don't deserve him because he picked me off last year. Buzzing cell phone cost me. Here are some of his pics from the last few years. Now he has the left ridiculously long and outrageous brow tine from busting his left ear in half last year in November. His right brow is no joke either. Wait for me baby!!! We have some catching up to do. P.S. I accidentally walked up on this guy a few days ago at noon in the exact same spot he busted me last year. Nice shooting. It hurts so good to robin hood one now and then. How big of a lease are you hunting? Mix of hardwood and ag?

I have 220 acres. 60 acres of wood strips along the river and ag fields. Killed a big one off it in 2020. Have taken a buck off it for the last 4 years. Also have the family farm of 225 acres that is mainly woods and 70 acres of ag and hay.
