Son got stung in the knuckle but other than that we terrorized them pretty good with gas down the hole and papers on top with wasp spray.

Did some mowing until 9pm last night. Finally feels like deer season is getting close. I mowed several trails through some tall grass and weeds and have all of them dumping into a plot right in front of a good stand. It should be a fun place to sit.

I guess we should circle up and make sure, is there any guys we haven't heard from in a bit to make sure we don't need an alternate? I think I remember everyone posting at least once in the last month or so?

At this point I’m thinking there might not be any alternates and that has me worried.

I’m pretty sure we are all accounted for. @Mudlake3 was online Friday, but his last post was on the 11th.

Have Justin make all the BHOD team members sign up as alternates; every team except the champs gets a celebrity!

@tynimiller this ship runs itself, but if we could put a couple “doe seekers” on a few of the teams arrows that would be great! Kidding…..kind of.

Got two stands up yesterday on the new permission property that I’m really excited to sit. Entry and exit is bullet proof with being able to walk a small creek all of the way from the road to both. The stands are fairly close together but I can hunt either one on different winds and be in the chips. It is a great cruising spot with an absolute ton of buck sign.

@LittleChief just posted it in another thread but honestly thinking back to last year I don't think we all realize how lucky we got to pull that out as only 7 of actually drew blood even for the contest.

I like our chances with some of us riding a hot 2021 into now, but most importantly because I know a few of you are biting at the bit to make it happen!

All of us are going to have to be on point this season if we want to have a chance at the three-peat. There are some strong teams out there gunning for us. Of course, strong on a list doesn't necessarily equal a strong showing on the scorecard. It just means they have real potential. Last year I caught a lot of crap for how stacked team 3 was with Justin, Bloodcrick and a lot of other big buck slayers on it. They ended up in 4th if I remember correctly.

I'm actually in the process of getting gear ready to load. A lot of that is making sure all of my gadgets are charged. Tactacam, Ozonics, Headlamp, bike battery, blood trailing light with laser pointer, mega-headlamp, etc.

I still have a lot to do before I head out for Kentucky Friday morning.

Greenwich CT. If your guy has commercial insurance for that, I would seriously consider having him pick it up. Even if he could only get it back to Indiana it would help. If he could get it to Des Moines, I would pay to fly him back home. The unit went into a dealer shop for servicing and will likely not be ready for pick up until this Friday.

I'll tell him the spot and the question about commercial insurance. If spot is good and answer is yes I'll get you his contact information.
