Hmm...Your argument against my quote is based on YOUR opinion and YOUR experience. Not everyone experiences things like you do. Not everyone can pull themselves up by their bootstraps. If you can...good for you. You are the man, congrats.

Unfortunately for you, your opinion, and your one scenario, is not set the standard for all. There are years of data and scientific evidence that back up my statement. I'm not talking about manipulated quantitative data; I'm talking about qualitative data that have results that can be seen.

I'm not trying to change your mind or opinion. I'm saying that my statement is true and can be backed up with scientific evidence, and your statement is your opinion formed by your experience, and only you can back it up. Don't call "BS" on something I say when you have no clue as to what you are talking about.

My MIL wasn't 100#'soaking wet and 5'2". In her 70 in a nursing home with "A" . Well they had to move her to a different facility because... she beat the crap out of 2 male orderlies. This is a women I never even heard raise her voice let alone a hand.

There is no set standard for all. You are proving my point. Why I said sometimes. For someone who is going to be a therapist... you are coming across as hostile, snarky with a bad couch side manner. Now you have hurt my feelings. Good job !! My opinion matters dammit. My experiences probably can be proven scientifically. The science also lies. Just depends on who is paying them and what they want them to find. Let's check the list... Gobal warming, climate change, covid vaccines and Alzheimer's comes to mind to name just a few.

Have a nice day. Pay my secretary when you leave after this session. :tu:

I'm not your therapist and we weren't in session, LOL!

Maybe I missed your point and overreacted? Quite possible.

Humor gets me though the day. Probably a sick, twisted sense of humor but it works. I've got a 3 day weekend so no one or nothing will bring me down. I am going to enjoy it. Wish you the best in your new adventure.

Speaking of mental health anybody else watch the most hated man on the internet? The desire for internet fame is a huge issue in society.

I have been dealing with mental health issues since I got out of the Marines. It took years of self medicating and fighting suicide before I finally received the help I needed. I walked off my job 2 months ago because it just became too much. 7 days a week and no end in sight. I forgot what living life was supposed to be, just wrapped up in my job every waking hour. Don’t know where life will take me but I do know I need to put my mental health and my family before a paycheck.

    Dmen..
Took alot of Gutts to express that on an open forum. Kudos to you!
I don't have much knowledge on the subject as it seems complex so I can't give much help but I wish you the best of luck!

dmen seems that you realize that if you can't take care of yourself you can not be there for those that need you. Sounds like you have fought hard rather than giving up. Keep looking out for yourself. When you can finally silence that grind in your mind it is life changing stay strong.

Weird, I had an issue with my right eye I would lose vision for 5 to 20 minutes. I had MRIs, ultrasounds, eye exams no answers. Since I started my anxiety meds I have not had a single episode with my eye.

Great news. Prob blood pressure from up and down stress. A lot of the crap we men do to ourselves just ain't worth it. Just today I found myself talking out loud about whipping a mfers a** bc he was being such a jerk tailgating me. That isnt healthy. So I just moved over and didnt even look at him when he drove by like a moron. I even felt guilty thinking like that but that is how I was raised. You wanna be disrespectful and aggressive and I got something for you...I have been working on that for years...just let it go.

Wish you all the best! If you need meds, take the sobs!

I was on BP meds before the other drug. It is interesting how anxiety manifests itself physically.

Interesting thread. May I suggest Buddhist and stoic philosophy for over all well being and clarity.

I would also like to know where I can get some of that big pharma money? I think some of you would be surprised how removed some physician specialities are from the billing reimbursement side. I don’t have the time, interest or energy to be involved in all of that. That’s why we pay a company to do all that for us. It is no factor.

Well until you have walked in another's shoes, I took the meds and it has made a big difference, my wife is very grateful. I would suggest them to anyone who is dealing with issues. I will not be shamed or judged I was man enough to decide it was not getting better no matter what I tried.
