Hey guys, did you all get the mass email that Brad Kaufmann sent out about the contest sign-ups being open?

If you got it and didn’t look at it you should. It has our buck hero shots from this past season in it.

Mudlake looks like you’ve done your work. I’ve been married for almost 40 years. In the younger part of our marriage with five kids it was nice when I brought home an elk and deer.

LC, I did look at that. We are a bunch of handsome looking guys:moose:

My son bought a set of Firstlite, Kuiu and Sitka. Just pants and shirts. He got the Kuiu merino wool bottom thermals. He really likes those. He also told me that they all have one thing in common. They are a little pricey.

I’ve heard of them, never bought anything from them, so another company sold my mailing address to them. The gear looks nice, but I get like half off from Sitka so I order from them for my fancy gear. They’ll give you the same deal on their website if you give them your email so it’s not really an insider deal.
Oh well, I put it in the trash.

Weather is cooling off a little, I take the national inspector test tomorrow then it’s onto mowing and putting out more stands/cameras for the weekend.
I’ll be going to Michigan next weekend, ugh…8 hours each way in the truck.
Weekend after is the velvet hunt, very little chance I’ll hunt in the heat.
Sept 28-Oct2 I have a super awesome mens motorcycle ride which is also opening weekend, but again, I can hold off a few weeks for the heat to fall off.
And after all that!!!! Hopefully, I’ll have a clear schedule with nothing but deer on it.

Even at half off Sitka gear is out of my price range.

I prefer Badlands gear over those brands. The prices are a little better, still not cheap. But the thing that sets Badlands apart is the unconditional life time warranty. I sent is pair of pants for repairs on the pocket zippers. Instead of repairs, I received brand new pants that were a step above what I sent in. The original pants had only been worn about 15 times.

Does that warranty apply to packs? I have a Badlands Fanny Pack that I’ve used for years but a zipper broke and the elastic/webbed bottle carriers are useless now.

It applies to everything that Badlands makes. Fill out the form and send it in. You might just get the newest version of it instead of repairs if it is really old.

LC, get it sent in they usually replace them. I have a hunting buddy that has a bad land pack. He sent it in for repair and they put a whole new bag on it.
I got some Sitka pants at a yard sale believe it or not for $30. So I bought a shirt to match it off of camofire. I got my whole Sitka set up for 50 bucks. I have a couple set ups from King‘s camo and a couple set ups from huntworth. I don’t buy it unless it’s on sale.
