That's like saying the FBI is not a political driven federal agency, that the postal service is not a political driven federal agency, the department of education ......... The IRS has already been weaponized under Obama to target specific groups. So when you can show me the actual numbers of special agents compared to just auditors or support staff I will stand by my OPINION. Now we can come back to this subject when a sudden rash of special agents with special powers start raiding gun shop owners, gun and ammunition manufacturers. When car repair shops,fixing those nasty gas using vehicles are raided, small private schools,day care facilities,dairy,beef,chicken,pork farms.....
Not to get your paranoia fired up, but gun dealers and car dealers will be more likely in the IRS lens...less repair shops, farmers, private schools. And not for the reason like anti-2a or those pesky fossil fuels... these are businesses which work more commonly conduct business in Cash...doing so, creates less records, but puts more burden on these business to 'prove' they aren't money laundering or participating in other illegal activities. This is not new, and not unique to team red or team blue... The IRS is here to stay... "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's..."
A respected post here sir, well done. You have auditors, you missed one and that is revenue officer which my dad was for 30 years. Basically he showed up and took your stuff. Again he did not carry a gun. He collected taxes of those who did not pay. Mostly were business owners who collected payroll tax from employees and kept it. He has some fascinating seizures stories.
