It has become time for mock scrapes! Great for cataloging deer on trail cameras. Later will be able to watch the bucks grow their antlers and fawns be born.

Going to be using the Lucky 7 Mock Scrape Magic powder scent.

I don't usually start my mock scrape sites until mid - late July. I usually keep my cams on the mineral sites until then

Ive always started to establish new mock scrapes around now. Its pretty amazing how fast deer take them over last year I set one up that evening it was being used.

This is my second season bowhunting whitetails and have yet to put an arrow through one. I was reading up on setting up mock scrapes. Do you think it is too late to setup for the season? I'm on public land in southern, Ontario

Nope not to late. I dont think theres such a thing as to late setting them up to be honest. During the rut I have scrape lines pop up over night every year some will continue being used year round if its in a good travel corridor. The only reason i try setting mine up late spring early summer is to get a camera on it. Its a great spot to get eyes on multiple deer.

Definitely not too late! I’ve been using vines for my mock scrapes the past few years, it’s amazing how well they work.

Nice!! That's exactly the setup I was planning on. Got lots of vines in my spot!! Glad to see it works. How high off the ground would you say the end of the vine is? Waist height?

I hang them anywhere from waist to chest high. Really depends on terrain and how long I cut the vine. I never want to risk getting the rope wrapped around the animal at all.

I have used rope with Lucky 7 Preorbital GEL. I like it, the scent sinks into the rope. They hit them like crazy!
