I'm speechless and numb honestly.... https://www.bowhunting.com/article/remembering-dwayne-jones/ Love you Dwayne - when people talk about good people you defined that!
I'm so sad to hear this. I met Dwayne at a g2g event several years ago. He was a very genuine guy, just the type of person you enjoyed being around. And you could tell he really loved bowhunting. He will be sadly missed. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
This is so incredibly sad. He was such a nice guy. I never met him in person but he welcomed me here on the forum with open arms and went out of his way to get in touch with me on Facebook and Instagram. He was so helpful with anything a guy needed. Rest In Peace! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Damn that's really sad. I never met him in person just on here and was always great conversation and he was always really helpful and friendly. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I've met quite a few people through the years of doing this, and Dwayne was a one-of-a-kind. I'm glad we got to spend time together and that I was fortunate enough to call him a friend. It was impossible to hang out with Dwayne and not have a good time. I'll never forget when he came to the LAS Classic and completely missed the entire bail on the first scoring arrow. Put one right under the stand and into the back wall.
Also never met the man but he was obviously well liked by all. The exchanges I had with him here were always interesting and...pleasant. He was a pleasant conversation. Something to be said about that, and something to aspire to be. More pleasant.
So sad to hear this news. Both from NC but quite aways apart we decided to meet up and ride together to the G2G in I think 2013. We actually met up in Cincinnati and rode the remainder of the way together. It was one of the most fun and entertaining trips I've ever been on. There was no shortage of stories and laughter. Later we stayed in contact and met up a few times in Raleigh at an outdoor show. Literally one of nicest and best people I have ever met. Sam will be missed! Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
Very sad to hear. I personally never meet him, but he was always on the fourm and came across as a genuine guy. He will be missed. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Damn..I'm at a loss for words. This one hurts. I never met Dwayne, but still considered him a friend. Similar to Jake, he was very welcoming to me when I came on these forums in 2012. Just goes to show you what kind of a person he was. Rest easy my friend.....
This just hit me today. I knew him as sharpeyesam and saw him on the boards constantly. What a nice, genuine guy, even in my few interactions with him. Such a shame. The bowhunting community and the world need more people like him in it. Rest in Peace buddy and hope the hunting up there is the best you've ever seen...
Wow, somehow I missed the connection that this was Sharpeyesam. He was an upstanding guy. I remember about six years ago, he sent me a dozen Easton Axis arrows after I started asking questions on the forum as I was looking at buying some. I offered to buy the arrows, he told me it was a birthday present. I killed four deer with those arrows before I retired them.
I'm having my arrows fletched in silver and blue this fall...I always teased him about his Cowboy love, being a massive Packer fan myself.
