    I mostly do the same, wash pots/pans as I cook and then after eating I will at least rinse the plates and silverware really good before putting it in the machine if not wash it outright.

    Mrs. Noodles on the other hand uses approximately 22 pots and pans to make a 3 course meal, then does not rinse the dishes worth a damn before she puts it in the machine with the precision of a wood chipper. I have lit into her more than once telling her the washing machine is not a GD garbage disposal.

    Drives me nuts, wife and daughters do the same thing! I tell them if you put caked on dirty dishes in the dishwasher, you get back HOT caked on dirty dishes.

    We forgot to run it before leaving for a camping trip. 6 days later, the dishwasher cleaned it right off.

    I have thought about this...maybe the POTUS shouldn't have EO...but should have line item veto...not fully sure it would be better or not...
