Goes without saying that it’s better to find the issue than not, especially based on how you’re feeling. Prayers to you!

Went fishing yesterday. The higher lakes the ice is getting weak around the edges. So it’s not safe to get on. So we went to a mid level lake. The fishing was slow but I did manage a 20 inch rainbow.

Biggest fish of the year so far.

It’s not as big as it looks at first glance. My daughter moved the camera close and it looks huge.

The cowboy hat is my fishing hat for sunny/rainy days and it was raining when I caught her.

I used to love fishing until about 16 or so then hunting took over. Don’t get me wrong if someone ask me to go I’m going and my kids are old enough now where they can fish more independently and my wife bought her fishing license this year so it looks like we will be doing a little more.

Nice fish and pictures Oldcarp and LC.
LC your white spinner is my favorite for bass and pike.
Wis. game fishing shuts down all of April in my area. Starts up 1st sat. in May for some fish.
Late spring here, still some snow and frost and very wet and cold. Only good thing is no bugs or ticks.

I took my oldest son out for a real quick trip to a farm pond over the lunch hour to hit up some bass. In total, we caught over 40 in about 45 minutes of fishing. They were on fire! We were standing right next to each other and caught these two nice ones at the same time so I snapped a quick picture to share. He loves to bass fish and is the real reason I bought some land to build a pond on. I hope we can have that kind of fishing in our own pond some day! lol

Fletch that's what you call non- stop action fishing. Nice bass!
Surprised your fishing in shirt sleeves. 20 degrees here this morning for my turkey season start. It wasn't snowing, raining or 30 mile winds so great weather for a change. Sat in a blind by a food plot for a few hours. More deer than turkeys. Some winter rye from last fall is just started to grow and the deer are really feeding on it. Not much else around that's green. Got to call to a gobbler for a while and he finally came in.
Nice to be out hunting again. IMG_1747.JPG IMG_1750.JPG

Fletch, those are some great bass!

    Rick, congratulations on the turkey!

The wife and I are spending the night in St. Louis in preparation for my angiogram in the morning. Maybe they’ll figure out what’s wrong.

Well, the heart cath is done. They said my arteries are totally clear which surprised me since I’m definitely not the healthiest eater.

    Good news though!!

Yes, the arteries being clear was a pleasant surprise to me.

We do eat a lot of venison and fish, but the fish is always “southern fried” and when I’m fishing or hunting I practically live on Spam, chicken Vienna sausages and hot dogs.

LC great to hear about your good check-up. Got a good chuckle about the spam. Always took some on elk hunting trips. So easy to open a can, fry some up for breakfast and make sandwiches for the day. It's like the perfect hunting camping food . lol

Times have changed. These days I’m too lazy to bother with opening cans.

Just grab one, tear the top off, squeeze it up out of the package and eat. Just perfect for fishing. :tu:
