Hang on.....Fletch posted a hunting harvest?? Getting the alert nearly broke my computer as it thought there was a virus or malware attacking it LOL Congrats brother!
I'm back, like a bad virus! Finally feel like I am getting through the long-haul covid crap and have energy to actually get out and do things again. I am so blessed to have gotten through it. My Dr. told me several months ago that he was afraid I might always have to deal with it. So glad that is not the case. Special bird for sure. First Spring bird in three years and I got it on the same spot where I guided my father-in-law to his first ever turkey. We took some good pictures so we can print one and hang it in the cabin next to his. I am so glad we bought that farm. It is always going to be a special place to spend time. It's 10 minutes from the house but always feel like a thousand miles deep in the woods. Just wait until you see all the deer I kill this year!!!
Thanks LC! I thought of you over the weekend. A friend has an 8 acre pond that was overpopulated with bass, so we caught four 5-gallon buckets full of 1.75 to 3lb. bass out of it on Sunday and cleaned them all for a turkey camp fish fry. It fed a dozen guys for two big meals.
Good to know so far Fletch is making sure we dominate in the turkey contest and is chipping in for the bass catching contest.... LOL
Yesterday our high was 91* This morning it’s 34* Wind chill of 17* Why do I live in Nebraska? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m sitting in a waiting room at the VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff, MO. During my last cardiology appointment the EKG showed what the doctor referred to as a “slight abnormality” and he wanted me to get a stress test done. I got here at 8:45 and it’s 11:47 now. They injected the radioactive crap and did the X-ray scan an hour after that. Then the actual treadmill part of the test came. After that the doctor said there was nothing wrong: No blockages or abnormal readings at all. I’m still waiting for one more X-ray scan and then I can get out of here.
So glad you received a clean bill of health Speaking of health…125 days before my living gets real healthy with retirement Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well crap. I was fishing this morning and the cardiologist from the VA Hospital called. He had told me that the EKG during the stress test looked normal but he still had to look at the scans they did before and after. He said that the scans showed a lack of blood flow somewhere indicating a probable partial blockage. For the life of me I couldn’t understand where the problem was because of his heavy Indian accent. I even had him repeat it and still couldn’t understand him. I know he put in a consult for an angiogram to get a better idea of what’s wrong. I do know that I’ve felt really crappy, tired and a bit short of breath or no reason lately. I guess we will see. I did bring home another good haul of fish today though, so I have that going for me.
Good luck LC. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hopefully everything goes well. great job on the fishing
