Walked a solid 4 hours this afternoon. Or should I say my 110 lb. lab drug me around through the thickest cover imaginable. Found a dead head, 2 deer kills, a turkey kill and the dog took out a opossum. No freshies.... I am wore out, so it the dog. lol!

Same here. A couple more have shed but a couple of nice 8 points (3) are still holding.

One good thing is that the snow is finally starting to melt.

4.8 miles, 77 floors, zero sheds haha. Got my cams at least. I’ll be back out next Monday or Tuesday. Got some good scouting in areas I wanted to go to b4, found a killer spot I’m looking forward to dissecting. Found 15 rubs in a 40 yard area that butts up to a thicket on a bench point.

This is the first year I have ever ran cam this far into the new year. Based on my findings I am going to start waiting until mid March to start walking.... Stilling holding!

My favorite day for shed hunting has always been March 23. Seems to have been lucky around that day for me.

Spring break starts March 14th for my 3 boys. I have a feeling we are going to spend most those days walking! I can include the sheds they find in my count right? I have certainly paid for it.... :)

I have an hr drive to where i found the massive dead head last November. Going to see if i can win the lottery and find his other nose bone where i picked him up in the dark. Ill only have a few hrs before ill have to head back home so ill be hustling. This is that head i found. I went in to kill this deer specifically and found him dead.

Couldnt even locate the remains of that big buck. That area is Under a foot of water all silted over. Oh well, was worth a shot. Zero sheds and one dead head with a funky side. Just confirmed pics of bucks with both sides so ill be back here in a few more weeks.

Hate to see em like that but a cool find, I still got a bunch in Pa and Ohio with both sides, I’m gonna hold off for a little while myself.

I'm having a hard time to even get motivated to go shed hunting this year. Don't know what's going on. I really need to scout a couple new property's this spring before the ticks get out to bad. But as always will be looking for sheds also. The pressure and lack of deer spotted this past season has me concerned. I really need to start using more properties to keep the pressure low on the deer I'm hunting.

This was how i was last year. Just wasnt my year. Life got in the way and i just had a crappy year in the woods anyway last year. Keep your hopes up. You may find some cool stuff yet.

Looked a little Saturday before the weather started to take a turn for the worse. We have 4" of snow on the ground again. :dan:Last week we almost hit 80 degrees... Anyway, took a short walk down in a creek bottom and found another dead head. Looks like it has been in there for several years...

Going to start an "Excuse" book and document every time I ask someone to look for sheds or bow hunt and they tell me no.

Asked a landowner this morning that lives over an hour a way if we could walk the property down the road from my house next week. She told me no if fear we would leave the gate open and the cattle would get out. Funny thing is ... there are no cattle on that property and I am 100% sure there wasn't a misunderstanding. It is what it is....
