Lol! You might also want to look into a full faced helmet. I would be wacking the crap out of the kid going through the thickets and cedars. :p

Yea he definitely wouldnt be able to go with me every time. I walk alot of areas that arent all that bad though. He loves anything to do with deer or outdoors for that matter. C8F3F3BC-911C-4673-B681-10EE0442C46C.jpeg

I looked for a couple hours around my feeders today and didn't find anything. There are trails , poop, and beds everywhere.

Shed bucks or does? I say shed bucks.

Looks like bucks to me. Blow it up and look at their head. I think I can see a spot on the left one.

Shed bucks. When their side profile of their face looks like a football usually means buck. Thats how how I can usually identify button bucks from does at a distance.

I was pretty confident those were shed bucks. short snout, football shaped head, head and neck discoloration from rubbing and marks all over the sides of their coat. Most of all the does on the property are pristine, picture perfect. I just wanted a sanity check. Haven't seen any head gear on cam since Feb. 18/19. That would be highly unusual not to get any buck pics in that time period. I think they have finally all shed out!

Those could be the same buck different year, very similar regardless of being forkies.

I thought the same thing. They are very similar. The problem is I picked them up on 2 different property's about 40 miles apart. The one property has a strong fork horn gene. The buck I shot this year on that property, believe was a 2 1/2 year old fork horn. Who knows if he would have ever grown out of that gene.

I had a bachelor group of 7 bucks come in early last night. Two were shed, a fork still holding 1 side, a 6 point with both and 3 decent 8 pointers with both sides. WTH, I was out finding sheds last year at this time. We still have a lot of snow in the woods. I was out plowing snow yesterday and supposed to get an inch tonight ....... Come on! Stop with the snow!

Well look at the positive side. With the snow coming it will get the bucks feeding in your field more and hopefully they drop there. I've found mild winters that the sheds are spread out and hard winter you get them all around food.

^^^ that's true. The deer are hitting my beans every night. 18 - 30+ deer per night. The colder it is the more deer there are.

All public. I'm 99% public for sheds except a little I walk at work.

During the snow storm we had last night, the deer were hitting the field pretty good. There were 20+ out there when I took this video. Again, turn off the sound as I was right next to my tv while recording. Maybe some day I'll learn.

The pure white area behind the garden baskets and fence is a good sized patch of clover. The deer have turned it into a lunar landscape digging through the snow to get to it.
