Hips. I had braces on my legs as a kid joints all kind of wore at an angle, 20 years of running around with a 50 pound pack on out west didn't help a lot, I was stupid too I kept getting after it when it hurt.
Doing it wasn’t as rough as I thought it would be. But, my legs are already feeling it. I am expecting tomorrow to suck whenit comes to walking.
Today it warmed to low 40's. I had to take A.J. for a hike. Dear God hit snow from area hubby plowed and right up a bit over the knees A.J. was near top of back. Sucked it up and kept going. We went a bit over a mile up Down and across the hill. Stopping to knock over dead trees. 3 hrs but made it back with just a little nausea and some lower and mid abdominal pains. Though I'm sure the knees and hips will kick in soon. There is one huge buck that travelersed the width of our place along the ridge down the east slope of gully to the farmers hay field. Man he walked the entire distance and his stride was really long. I tried to dig down to his hoof print and considering snow splay his feet are pretty big who snow depth I didn't notice much belly drag so he is pretty big.
Yesterday Power Cleans, Pull ups and push ups as a circuit. Followed that up with some extra chest and back work with the DBs. Today was sprinting followed by an a circuit of 25 Battle Rope slams, 30 second plank, 25 rope slams, and rope rotations 15/side for four rounds.
Don't be so hard on yourself. I see plenty of people who needed joint replacement in their 40's because they never got after it. Good luck.
Hey , woke up not too sore to my surprise will be back out later. Seriously tired though. A. J. had us up half the night alarm barking. Sheets of ice and snow were sliding down the roof. Being a modified A frame it makes quite a noise.
First workout in two weeks today. Longest layoff I have ever had. Felt good to get back under the iron. Need to get a run in. No BJJ until next week since they have 10 day policy from Covid + get after it!
Monday: 60 minutes of step ups with 20lb pack Tuesday: Hang Cleans and upper body weights Wednesday: Easy Walk Thursday: Off Friday: Deadlifts; sets of 4 from 145 up to 375. Back and Bicep work afterward.
Hey Jim, yes I probably had it on my recent ski trip to Big Sky MT. I tested positive when I came home. Just a bad head cold for a few days. Back to normal now.
BJJ yesterday, good times, didn't feel terrible after 2 weeks off. Incline DB, DB shrugs, Good girls/badgirls, glutes, lateral raises, wrist curls, inc sit ups, db curls, quick and dirty work out. 1 hour on the bike casual pace. Calories are back to 2100 need to drop a couple pounds of vacation/eating for a healthy immune system fat. Get after it!
I've always loved track and field. Big part of my family growing up. I really hope it makes a resurgence bc of the simplicity of the sport. You either make the time or you dont....
Quick one this morning before meeting and work. Pull downs, OHP, Inc DB, shrugs, tri extensions, DB curls, BW squats, Inc sit ups. No Gi BJJ tonight.
Eye is still messed up. Doctors appt next Wed with another specialist. Ughh. Still going to keep working out. Running tonight.
My wife took a different job which requires her to be gone almost 12hr every weekday. With the season being out, there's only so much housework I can do. Sooooo, I've been hitting the gym twice a day, which amounts to about four hours a day working out. I gotta say that this week I've been feeling everyone of my 67 years. Pretty sore this week. I keep thinking I'll push through it but my body is not responding like it did 20yrs ago! Sent from my SM-T500 using Tapatalk
just started dieting and down 8 lbs already. Would love to see 215 lbs again. Havent been under 230 in awhile. Ill start cardio couple days a week and ease into weight training in the next month. Working 60hrs/wk and trying to get some stuff done around the house right now. one good thing i could always drop weight and put muscle back on pretty easy. So ready to get in shape again.
