Always tough to go thru a loss of a family member. It's great you got to spend some time with him during the holiday. Sorry you and your family are going thru this. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
God Bless him and your whole family. So pleased to hear you had the chance for a good bye and he passed peacefully. A fitting ending for a man that gave to his community and country.
@Shocker99 So sorry for your loss, keep his memory with you everyday that you walk this earth. I know you will. God Bless
Shocker. Sorry to hear that. Looking at that picture, I can see/feel he was a good man. A local farmer came and blew out my 1/2 mile road today. Had about 14" of hard wind driven snow. At the cabin now for maybe (depending) on future snows, perhaps the last time till spring melt. Drinking beer, pizza on the grill and radio on old rock, wood stove cranking. _14* now and down to _25* tonight. Hope truck starts in the a.m.? For once, deer aren't even any interest to me now! Incredibly peaceful here.
Thanks everyone. Main thing is he isnt suffering anymore. Dementia is horrible. Probably shouldve posted this in the Best things in life thread or somewhere else but im just so used to jumping on this one. Good luck if anyone gets in a tree or in the woods tomorrow!
Nothing for us yesterday afternoon. Kids didn't want to go out this AM, so I did. Doe with BB and Doe fawns went through. They milled around for 30 min. Squirrels and a rabbit too.
Sorry to hear Shocker. Sounds like he was a great man. My grandfather went through dementia too, it's rough to see for sure.
