No movement this morning besides another hunter about 1.6 miles from the truck. Guess we both think alike. I will be back out shortly on the opposite side of the property and right about 3 miles from the truck this time.
Thoughts and prayers headed your way Jim. Best of luck with the anti-body infusion today. You will feel like a new man in a day or two!
The bow hasn’t left my bow hook all season… But it’s been by my side. If my bow had a brain. Well never mind. The stand I’ve committed the majority of my time has been really s l o w - everything I’m educated on says abandon the area and do something else. My gut, hunting the wind and knowing the buck I’m hunting has used this area regularly just has me ignoring everything else I know. In all likelihood I will sit for 3 hours tonight and not see a damn thing. But. It’s where I need to be.
It only takes 15 seconds, just need to be there for them. I always know what stand to be in, picking that stand at the right time is somewhat troublesome
All is quiet here. Came across this and had to share. Sent from my SM-G950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
My buddy who hunts some pretty pressured public land just had a giant buck chase a doe right through his setup. Couldn't get him to stop. Nov 30. Amazing
Went to pull all my cameras and sticks for a stand. Get out there and the farmer who leases the FIL farm ground has one of the 2 hedgerows cut down. Guess the FIL let him cut it down to expand the farm ground. So many oaks gone (we don’t have many on the property). They mainly used it as a travel corridor between the north/south end of the property as it was only about 10 yards wide, but man there were some good trees in there (and very thick with a lot of bedding). On top of that the 4 guys who are cutting wood have been walking through the property each night with their muzzleloaders. Needless to say my time on the back 40 is done this year. They won’t be done cutting wood well through the winter. Adapt and overcome! Things are always changing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rarely. Buys a rifle tag and goes out once for an hour or goes with guys walking through land to use his tag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Biggest deer I’ve ever had on camera showed up on 11/6 on a doe. 2videos and 1 picture of him chasing on 11/6 and then 1 picture on 11/20. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
