I did get on stand two hours before dark. I got up and realized I’d forgotten my phone. It didn’t matter. I didn’t see a thing. They just aren’t moving here on my place until after dark right now. The morning is the best bet.
Oh i dont get any flack. Its more like them kissing butt in desperation to get us to work as much as possible. I didnt have nearly as much time to use this year because of my back but i get 6 weeks vacay and a week PTO. Somehow its still not enough when deer season gets here. I try to save almost half of it but it goes Quick!
Didn't even see a squirrel this evening in stand. Back out to same spot in the morning. If I see nothing I am moving to another area that looks promising.
Congrats killers!! Was out in Ohio today with my buddy. We scouted a new spot with Topos and went in for an adventure. I ended up taking a buck with the Ruger 77/44. Found some killer public, looking forward to shed hunting it and learning it for next bow season. Hindsight I shoulda tucked the tongue in for pics, 3 hrs of sleep and a lot of miles in today. Keep grinding!
dang, Jim, I know I am late seeing this but you haven't posted since this one. I hope you got checked out for clots. Not that I am stalking you but I see at least you were on yesterday so I'm sure I speak for everyone and hope all is well and you have just been in trees with not much service.
Sorry guys and thanks for your concerns. The last few days have been very rough in the way I feel. I thought towards the end of last week it had pretty much ran it's course but over the weekend it came back with a vengeance. I'm going today for the antibody infusion.
