I’m out, saw 6 right at last light and got stuck in my tree. 5 minutes earlier and I would have had a shot.
I'm out. Slow here. Seen about 10 and they were acting real skittish. Left 1/2 hour early. Case of the bubble gutt got me scared
yeah if his other side matches this one, he's well over 50. A few years back I shot a 3x2 5 point where his 3x side was smaller than yours that ended up going like 65 or 68 IIRC. I mean you COULD take the 50, but your teammates would probably be pissed. As a non-teammate, I say go ahead and take the fitty!
Well, no dice for me. Never found blood and there was 200 yards of open field that I should have easily seen the doe down in if I had killed. Her reaction felt weird from the shot. Never seen a deer trot Off the calmly with its tail tucked after a rifle shot. Not sure what to think. Had to let it go. Tracking after dark isn’t allowed without a blood trail. Calling it a miss. I haven’t missed a deer with a rifle in a long time.
