I'm doe hunting this morning and all I see is bucks... My tag is filled for a buck and I had two big ones give me shots... Figures! Then this dude tries to sit in my lap...
I've put them on my inner sock and put the heavy sock over it. Get about 2 hours. What a dope...might last longer and my feet not sweat as much if I put them on the insole. Lol. Thankfully, haven't had to hunt in really cold weather for 5-6 years now.
Kept it short this morning. Wife didn’t see anything. I bumped a doe and buck bedded in the ditch on the way out. Coffee and donuts to keep it fun for the wife. Back out this afternoon.
Sat for 3 hours and only saw couple of squirrels. Something did blow at me on my way in. Just found a fresh ground scrape. Has to be really fresh because there's no snow in it. Maybe made that last hour or so . The land owner put this gem out here early spring. Sent from my Z719DL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Finally gave it up. Wind picked up and movement dropped off. Back at it this afternoon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I put them on the matt I use to change cloyhes sticky side up and step on them. When it's really cold I'll stick another one on top sandwiching my toes. The big adhesive ones, 4x6" or whatever they are, I like to stick on the inside of my hat since they say that's where you kose a majority of your heat. Regular handwarmers I like to place one in my palm and one on top of my hand where all the veins are while wearing gloves. Usually have a flip mitten glove on release hand so will shove one in the mitten as well. Usually only get cold when I forget one or all of the 3 above or when I have two piece camo and wind cuts in at the waist.
That's the stuff I like to hunt in VS. I want deer to come n go. No loitering. Back to MN from a 2 day family rebellion in ND. Should be in a tree shortly.
I’m still at it decided to move spots for this evening didn’t like the way the wind was where I was at Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Out with my boys on a buddies farm. Trying whack some does for him. Sitting in a box blind over looking a winter wheat and rye plot. Bumped a couple of doe fawns out as we were setting up. Boys has the .243 and I have the .270.
It's spittin' flurries over this way too, and very windy. We aren't scheduled to get as much as you are over there though.
We’re up. Wife is back in her stand. I slid over to the south west corner. Woods are really open over here. Not expecting much. Good luck pm shift!
I’m going to gamble that the wind is going to lay a little at the golden hour and be in the stand btw 3:45 and 4:00. We’ll see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
