Hello everyone. It’s been some time since I have been on here but figured I’m would come on by and se what everyone thought of this. I am ready to move on from the bow that I currently have, which is a PSE stinger X. I’m currently in the market for a new bow but won’t be buying anything until after the holiday season. The two bows I’m looking at are the new Matthew’s V3x and the prime inline 1/3. I want everyone’s opinion on these and any other help. I have yet to shoot either of these as I would have to travel to 2 different shops to do that.

I'd get the vxr, it's virtually the same as the v3x, except cheaper

I should have also said that I am also open to other options as well.

All the bows are tack drivers, shoot a bunch and buy your favorite. Different strokes for different folks. V3 offers 27”ata and 31”, V3x 29” & 33”, if your not gonna run the v3x accessories I don’t see a need for the v3x over the V3 unless you want those ATA’s. I’m curious about primes in-line, I had the nexus4 and sold it. Shot next to the V3 it was a no brainer for my taste. I’m just hesitant on the first year making a big design change. Don’t count out elites envision, looks like a real shooter. Good luck and just go shoot a bunch, don’t be tied into a brand.

FWIW - The V3X 33" is a damn nice bow. I would put it at the top of the list of my favorite bows over the last few years. V3X 33 > VXR 31.5 > V3 31

As others have said, if you're not tied to the new accessories you can save a few dollars with one of the older model bows from the last couple of years.

do you have a preference on ATA? speed? Brace height? draw cycle? etc. I think any of the Mathews the last 3 years are awesome bows. Elite has changed a few things but I always loved mine. I have not been a huge fan of Bowtech or Hoyt as of late, just didn't feel right to me.

I don’t really have a preference right now for ATA
Brace height of the stinger x is 32-1/2, I do like that length but am willing to change it and shoot something smaller/longer. I do understand the longer ata is more forgiving. Speed don’t really care just faster than what I have now, brace height of 6-7 inches, not picky about draw cycle but 60-70.

I may be in the market this year myself, and I am liking the looks of both the new Prime in line and the new Elite. Haven't shot either yet and most haven't since they were just released. Since you won't officially be in the market until after season, take your time and shoot a lot.

FWIW, I am no fanboy of any particular brand. Over the past decade I have owned Mathews, Mission, BowTech.
