I'm out. Checked trail in front of me when I got down. Fresh tracks and poop, so good sign. Also found a big fresh scrape about 50 yards away. I'm done for the day and probably won't be out til Saturday. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I'm fired!!! I just can't get that motivation I need after first firearm season. Woke up several times throughout the night, then alarm went off at 2:30, and again at 2:35 and the final time at 2:45. Rain was all but wrapped up, but I did not pay close enough attention to the actual forecast. Winds were supposed to be NW and gusty but temp was ok for it. I was wrong. High temp was actually at midnight and falling ever since. It's now 30 degrees at the property with West winds gusting to 25, wind chill of 18. That would have sliced right through me, especially in 2 piece camo with wind at my back. Not only that, the west wind is the worst wind possible. Thought about going for a mid morning to late afternoon sit, but after dumping a pot of coffee and making another and having a few waffles decided not to. Niece decided last minute she wanted to have Thanksgiving at her place, learned of that at noon yesterday. Throwing the insulated coveralls in the wash and I'll get out there in the morning.
Prednisone had me up til 4am. Lol. No morning hunt for me. Gonna eat and shoot my bow today. Tomorrow and Sat for my last best chances for a big buck.

Oh i just moved. Wait till you see the full blown setup. . She will be able to get in there eventually.
My buddy just stuck a big one. Gave me the call and i had to tell him hes dragging alone. Family event at noon. Cant wait to see it. He actually acted on a plan we had been kicking around for awhile. He hung a set about 8 ft off the ground in a tree about as big around as my calf to get on where these bucks were moving. So pumped for him. Ill be executing a similar plan soon.
What's his definition of "a big one"? Had many say that to me and it ends up being a basket 6 or something Was he happy with the shot?
