I’m in the stand. I’ve got two doe tags that expire Friday night. I’d like to fill em. I’m flinging an arrow at the first doe I see

Mind if I ask what ammo you used? Looking for a good deer round for my son's .357 Haven't had a chance to try them out on a lot of deer yet to see how they perform.

Seeing I'm relaxed,I have time to ponder things like strange things noticed this season. No doe with fawns here at home. Lots of fawn an way more male than female. No raccoon, just one fox. No skunk seen. Then there is the massive flocks of cowbirds and starling none. Now that is really strange. Come to think of it fewer geese and snow geese and duck fly overs. We live in their fly way surrounded by lakes

What different things have you noticed?

On this day last year, I shoulder shot a buck right at this little green sapling that’s closest to the camera. Was looking at my memories and noticed that. Never got another picture of him after early January. Last I know of he was 600 yards from here, at my old house. I think he died of infection or something. Still haunts me

Hey no problem. This one was a Federal 158 gr jacketed soft point. Under 20 yards, I always get pass throughs. I imagine that could be said for farther shots but I keep mine at that range. The eyes are getting older...

This shot was not the best. Too high on entry and it came out the back portion of the off shoulder. Definitely had better blood trails.

A buddy had given me some hard cast lead rounds he hand loaded that I took a few deer with. I did like those.

When I retire, I am getting back into reloading. By then, I should be able to find powder. Lol

1 more day if work and I'll be all pumpkined out in the woods.

Kinda curious what an eight day soak on the scrape cam has.

I'm probably not going to be overly choosey this weekend. May save my buck tag until Thanksgiving day and weekend then brown and down. Just have to see how I'm feeling when a deer shows up.
