Buddy's young 20s niece was riding her bike to work today and was hit and killed by a truck. This world can be extremely brutal.
Prayers to your buddy - how awful. We had one of our neighboring departments ambulances hit yesterday. Destroyed the ambulance and sent the EMT to the hospital. Thankfully she will be fine, but it just makes you wonder how people cannot see a big ole thing with flashing lights.
I had a guy take off from me about 6 months ago for whatever reason. He got spooked by my cruiser for reasons unbeknownst to me. I lost a visual on him and then saw him 200 yd away going southbound at about 80 or 90 miles an hour and run through a red light, plow into a citizen T bone style and then hit one of my officers head on. Knocked cruiser from the northbound lanes into the southbound lanes.. It was absolutely insane. 2 life threatening injuries and the bad guys car caught on fire. Needless to say it was crazy town for a while.

WTF Wells Fargo, go to a branch ATM empty for 2 days, go to another branch no cash in the ATM, go to a Speedway that has Wells Fargo ATMs, no cash. They will still charge me for using a non Wells Fargo ATM.

Don't plan a trip to the Adirondacks in May. A trip through upstate and into VT during peak leaf season, is spectacular.
The furnace in my bar went out this week. It is a smart furnace that communicates with a heat pump for warming or cooling depending on temperatures so it is expensive. $5400 will be installed tomorrow. There's my Christmas present! At least I have the heat pump keeping the place warm in these temperatures. Any colder the heat pump could freeze up.
I had a similar view of NY over the summer. I don't think of NYC when someone says they're from NY. It's a beautiful area in many places.
Who the hell runs truck tires at 32 pounds? Mine get filled if they are less than 35 but I do tow so there is that. To answer Pink Pony's question, I do all the bill paying in our household.
