Nothing else for me this morning, took a scouting trip to my gun club that owns 100 acres, I’ve never deer hunted here. I put a camera up on Friday evening in the corner of the woods by a field edge, got 98 pictures of deer since then but they are all in the middle of the night. I know some does used to bed in this thin section of woods close to cut corn, I also did some scouting up on the hill where they logged about 2 years ago, looked to be decent sign up there, not sure where I want to set up this evening

My conservation with my wife who’s a teacher during her lunch break:

Me: I might go hunting after work…

Her: (Calm/Nice voice) Can you just drop the “might” and say I will.

    Me: It’s weather related.

Her: Shuts door and walks out.

    Me: So yes?!!!!!!

Scrapped my original plan. Neighbors to this public piece looked like they were gearing up to party hunt. Moved a half mile to a skinny ridge. Lots of white oaks and it looks like animals have been rooting around in here a lot. If anything else it's a beautiful spot.

    Good luck Brett!

I'm out and back home. That was the last day of the season in that forest till dec 23-jan 3rd. I'll be hitting up the Bow only woods starting next week. I have a LOT of catching up to do on schoolwork!

I’m out, nothing for me. I’m going to take a stand down at my place and put it up tomorrow at my uncles place. Need a change of pace, it’s also a better late season spot than mine.

I relocated to a different spot, I’m on a small creek and big crossing. Rubs, scrapes and worn down trails. Hills on both sides funnel them to the creek. Small green field off the one side , large thicket to the other. Had luck here in the past, killed a buck and missed a buck. Hoping to put another notch in the kill column.

D966DDC7-C01E-4B74-8154-62C799E84AFD.jpeg Live from the back yard lol….. the funny thing is that I saw him and a bigger 10pt this morning when I left, the ten was guarding a doe. Now if either one of them come by, an arrow would be released.

Well I’m set up… about the only good thing about this set is I’m in a higher deer density area. I really need to work on my scouting to hunt efforts, I’m never happy with the sign I find then I end up bouncing around to different places just to set up in a spot that doesn’t have sign that I’m entirely happy with

Got some food on the way here. Craving peanut butter so I looked at the Nutty Buddy. Saw it was 470 calories so I placed it back....but right before I put it back I saw it had 7 grams of poly and monounsaturated fat. Hey man it's all good! I'm sure that levels out the nearly 500 calories of sugar. Back in the hand....

Well I saw more movement across our little swamp in the trees, now I’m not going to get anything done. Well except for live from the basement window….

I’m back in a tree for the afternoon. I’m on my property now. I have a ton of bucks on camera but none of them are big boys.

There are a couple of funky racked bucks that might tempt me if they show up.

Haven’t seen any more movement since before, they either wandered off or bedded down. Either way I will still be waiting
