I may have posted this once over the years. Just driving for awhile today and began thinking about it. Pretty remarkable all things considering. My grandpa went into the Air Force in 1943. My Dad into the Marine Corps in 1969. Well in 1970 my Dad was a new 2nd Lt in Vietnam while my Grandpa was finishing up his career as an Air Force pilot, having flown in 3 wars. Well on this day in 1970 my grandpa was providing air support for a supply run by some other planes when they heard a request for immediate air support from a Marine platoon. My grandpa deviated and began giving air support to the Marines as they fought their way out of the chaos. Years later my Dad found that the air support he requested was answered by non other than my grandpa.
