Well everyone. Tell ya what. I've had one hell of a season.
First time ever I made up my mind to hold out for bucks I wanted on my own land and I've done that. There are (were) 2 I wanted but I've not seen them only on cams.
For years I've wanted to come to the cabin and hunt, relax!observe, and just do whatever fitted.
Been here 9 days and have had a ball!!!
Will hunt tomarro and then back to the real world.
It's been unreal fun being back here with nobody around. No company, just me n Roscoe my dog.
Never thought I'd admit it but I had just as much fun "hunting" from my cabin as I do in a treestand. Getting older and have killed piles of stuff in my life so that's kinda taken a backseat to just having fun, and I have!!!
Tell ya what, I'll also admit a couple years ago I never thought I'd get caught into some "bullshit" called LFtS type thing but I did and it's been really awesome following you all on the trail.
First thing I do when I wake up.
    Great bunch people here
Couple nice bucks got passes this year and in a way (I like killn stuff) I now wish I would have but....not really? Far from being done but gonna have to pick my times out more carefully from here on out.
In a nutshell, it's been a GREAT SEASON, and I aint even killed nuttn.
You all are great and it's been fun following your season:woot:

I don’t remember if I posted about my evening hunt.
Most movement I’ve seen since the 6th. One nice buck, probably mid 120’s to 130 and several fawns and spikes. Only 2 does and they were on pins and needles. Probably tired of being run ragged.
I’m taking tomorrow off to get some clean-up done from the last 2 days of wind. I’m back to work for a week then another week off. There was one buck around our place that we’ve been watching, he ended up falling to the orange swarm this morning. Have to hope for a traveler now around our place.

Have a great evening. I’ll check in tomorrow to see how things are “from the stand.”

I have had NAP over-the-top mechs fail to open twice on hard angle shots. Twice.
The angle can cause the blade to pinch shut.

I realize and admit to how deadly they can be on a broadside shot, but they are awful on a hard quarter.

    On X.
    HuntStand.

If it saves you a ticket or worse (like getting shot for trespassing) both are worth it. Plus they're pretty cool.

LFTS is easily the best thing on this site. "Met" some really good people here. Some actually in person at some point.
