I appreciate all the congrats keeping up with you all on this thread has kept me motivated about Bowhunting our true bow season for where I hunt is 10-1 - 10-10 then after that is rifle season all the way to 1-1 so I’ve decided this year to only hunt with my bow and keeping up with y’all let’s me know there are a lot more ups and downs and keeps me from dragging out my rifle because I really want to kill a good buck with my bow so now that’s what I’m after Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
He was nice 10.. He has run the little ones out and is chasing her around in there. Here are. 2 that tried to get in my lap... 10 feet away
1 doe is all. Still 40+ winds but sposed to start dying down bout noon. This afternoon could be smoking hot!
I'm out. Heavy rain came in and radar says its staying till noon. Good time to de scent everything and dry it out. I'll be back out when the rain moves out. Gonna sit the set I may take down. Its in a thin section of jungle between the woods and the cut corn. If I dont see anything then it's coming down and I'm gonna go try the next to afternoons on a public piece where I shot my second Doe. If its a trickle rut then it won't matter where I go. If its EHD it won't matter where I go. If the farmer used a bunch of farm permits this summer, then it behooves me to get off the farm.(Landowner and farmer are different people. Land owner did say the farmer used some ag tags)
So just had a 4 walk 60 FT. Past the house as I was washing dishes. So close I could have shot him with my compound. Steam rolling off him...It's pretty cold out even with the sun .
I had a really good buck walk the bottom of the ridge on the other side of my valley about 30 minutes ago. He never got closer than 114 yards.
