Thanks for the encouraging words, I trekked way back into a marsh on some public and got skunked. I loved the view and did just chill out of 4 hours. I could here something running in the marsh to my east where I didn't have a good view. It seems like in the mornings between the hours of 9-11 my friends have been having good movement.

Awesome deer Congrats! I was feet away from releasing an arrow yesterday morning. Then In the evening I watch a dandy for about 10 minutes about 35 yards away, Just to far for me and to much brush in the way. I'm about to head out now, good luck everyone!

Sounds great WB, stay after em

I’m having a great first day in Iowa. I’ve had some great encounters. Hopefully I will get a good shot opportunity on a good buck.

    Good luck everyone!

I haven’t been out since Saturday, had a little heat wave come through so it’ll be Thursday or Friday before I possibly go back out. Saturday is opening day of duck season so I’ll be preparing for that these next couple of days. Good luck to those that are going out in the morning

Same here Greg. I had to go back to work for couple days this week. Have a nerve study on my back on Wednesday then i think im taking rest of week off. Supposed to rain wed-thurs but i can stand a little drizzle on Thursday if thats all it is. Thurs-sunday is what ill be planning on. Then its a few days of work then its shotgun season.

Dang, some of the bucks on the score card have me thinking I stink at this game, hahah (all in fun). Some giants for sure.

The dog had to go back to the vet...and is back on house rest. So not sure when I'll make it out as husband still hasn't got his buck (he keeps letting them walk in hopes for his big one). It's been warm this week and will drop down to rain/snow starting Saturday. We have a Sunday hunting Sunday (PA doesn't allow Sunday's) - this weekend. I have a craft show Saturday - but I am hoping to make it out Sunday evening. I have had okay bucks on my camera behind the house quite often lately. Daylight, too. So we will see! Early season ends the 19th.

Good luck with your procedure (RFA?) Brandon.

Been having a blast here. I have been seeing an unreal amount of bucks and have had some opportunities. Had 3 bucks I could have shot this morning. Hoping a good one shows up this afternoon. Tomorrow looks like rain and Thursday is the last day. Not sure what I will do other than keep grinding and trying to create shot opportunities.
Sorry to hear about you dog Kristen, hopefully he will bounce back.
    Good luck everyone!

My friend Josh from the Hunting beast came and hunted with a couple of friends and myself for a few days last week. I was on a big buck in a marsh and had him at 35 yards but had no shot. Josh and I pushed back into that marsh and each took a point and he ended up scoring on a nice buck. I'm not saying for sure it was the buck I had eyes on because it's so thick were I saw him I couldn't count points and all that. So, I'm super happy he was able to hammer a good buck on a short trip, but I'm back to the drawing board a little bit. I'll attach a link to video of Josh VLOG from the hunting beast if you want to take a look. No worries if you don't just figured I'd share it to try and help Josh out with his video.

Thanks all, there is a great story behind this buck. The episode will be on BHOD at some point in the next week or so.

I should have the rack back from the taxidermist later this week and a real metal tape to measure with to get a clean score on him. With that said we did a fast score the night I killed him and he’s right around 170 on the button plus or minus an inch.
