Got out last night and saw 4 doe the biggest kept looking back like something was going to come out so I waited till dark to see if a big one walked out. No luck mama is doing better with baby so I will be out more now. Took min thru we’d off next week. Hope to catch up to this guy. Had him day light 3 days that I was at hospital.

Well boys, it's a Christmas miracle, well maybe a Halloween miracle. I went to the processors to pick up the deer meat and they DID still have the head. I brought the stinking thing home, inside my truck, and measured it. I sincerely apologize for the confusion this created. I should have taken better care after I measured the first time. I got busy with some other things and the paper got thrown away. But I should have been more diligent about it. I'm going to be honest, I'm not really sure how to add up the score but I will post them and maybe someone can help me with it. I got him around 49 give or take. I know you get 4 mass measures on each side. Ad a couple more inches for that and he is right at 51 to 52..
I had better night, than morning. Different area. Sat along side a corn field. Farmer was combining it. I had a 200-300 lb bear come out of the corn. 2nd pass by the combine. The Bear went the other direction from me. Had a 4 pt come behind me 25 yards. Then 2 does at last light. 65 yards
My brother in laws were hunting down the road about three miles and they saw a buck yesterday evening that they couldn’t really describe. The one has killed quite a few big bucks around 140”. They said it was the biggest buck they’ve both ever laid eyes on in their lives. He came in to about 100 yards and then turned but they were talking 200+

The big fat doe popped into the food plot but turned right. I was ready. If she would’ve came straight it would’ve been a 15 yard shot. Today was kind of slow going. On to tomorrow.
Well guys target buck was bedded 15 yards from my stand. I never seen him only know from trail cam and neighbor telling me he saw him run as I spooked him. I didn’t even see a squirrel tonight but I’m sitting a rut pinch point so when it’s rocking it’s rocking. Tomorrow is a new day.
I’m set up, bumped something walking down the road past the first field. I’m in the only stand that works for today’s shifting wind. Good luck guys!
