I love when they die in convenient spots, and 50% redemption is always welcome in my eyes. Plus nothing in the world tstaes quite as lovely as a young whitetail.
I'm down, going to scout and setup new for the evening. Just checked the edge of bedding and it's absolutely destroyed with scrapes! Huge tracks in them and all over the field. Going to scout thru it and pick a spot on opposite side where I think the buck is coming from. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Congrats killers!! I just touched down in Illinois. Gonna grab some grub and get settled in, tomorrow starts the hunting!
Congrats to those of you who have killed deer over the last few days, been cutting up my deer and catching up with some of the family things I had to. I haven't been able to keep up over the last 72 hours apart from posting what I have. It's hard to catch up up so many pages of posts. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Yeah the big boys are rut crazy right now. Watched a real nice one chasing a doe in some willows. Got down at 930 to check my cameras. Nice buck to his ears just standing in a hay field. I got to within 100yds of him and he didn’t move. Must have a doe locked down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nothing besides the coyote. BIL saw a little buck in the field. I guess I had myself over hyped for the morning. Hopefully the evening produces better results.
Ive noticed it starting to really crack yesterday and today. Yesterday was just fresh scrapes and rubs everywhere And a 2 year old beating up every willow tree in sight. Today i took the day off to renew drivers license and take care of a few things. I turned out of my subdivision and out of an old cemetary came a freaking giant. I almost smacked him with my truck. Couldnt get my phone up fast enough to get a pick but he was probably pushing 170”. And thats being modest. Now to talk to the neighborhood association president to see if i can hunt the 10 acres of common ground Ha!
