Well folks, I’m not in a tree today but did have kind of a bummer day yesterday. One of the young bucks that my oldest has been close on a few times showed up dead under one of our stands. We have hunters on adjacent properties in almost every direction. I called all of them and no claim to this guy. I have no idea how far away he got shot, but he came home to die. Had a doe come through at 45 yards, about 5 mins later I heard the distinct “big buck tearing through the woods” sound. Sticks breaking and crashing. If it was a buck he hasn’t pushed her back yet
I just went out..raining are you kidding me!!!! Rain on and off through morning then getting steady after 10 : 30 a.m. I'll get wet in the early morning, go vote and go buy my M.L. license with cash, eye roll. They say a W wind...I'll plan on either W or E. Add another eye roll.... Thought I. Posted that...alarm went off and it was windy and raining went back to bed and now..NOT IN FORECAST. ..it's snowing big wet flakes....
I'm giving it until 1030 then going to vote. Haven't seen a deer all morning. Should be back on stand around 130 or 2. Good luck everyone who's out. Sent from my Z719DL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Just smacked the horns together. Had a lone doe about 100 yds out about 20 min ago. She went in the thicket in front of me. Hope i can draw something out of there or the corn. They might be in that corn but they should be wanting to cruise
