Geez I suck at cutting up deer. I know guys who can break down a deer in just a few hours. I think I'm on 6 hours today. Took a break waiting on some food. 20211031_170356.jpeg

Well guys I got a doe down! Shot her at 8:30 this morning. She was broadside at 20 yards in a wide open lane. Easy right, well I didn't take my time and put the shot back. I knew it right away as I watched her run off to a thick corner section of the property. Checked the arrow and it confirmed a liver hit with dark red blood. I did get a pass through. Backed out and gave her 6 hours. I had a couple buddies close by so they came out to help me. Not much blood at all but just as we entered the thicker area I spotted her underneath some thick nasty crap. She made it 150 yards and died in her bed. Thankful to recover her and for the meat we will be getting! I already have her entered. IMG_0715.jpg IMG_0722.jpg

Not at all. I have 2 tags left. MO does two any deer tags ,but I can't kill another buck till gun season and after. Doe tags are unlimited at 7 bucks a pop and I have one in the queue.

Dude when you get to MO I bet you have some luck. You're going to get here with awesome weather I think. Moon won't be great but not terrible. Rut will be in swing too.
