Decent 7 point just came through. Not a shooter but will be a nice one if he can get another year

Taking some Z-Quill watching the final 4th quarters of late games and going to bed.

12 hours from now I'll know what crops are in or out and will be pulling into the property.

Thought about sticking one with 2 yearlings a few weeks ago, but she proceeded to lick and clean one of em for a good 10 minutes. This big Ole softie didn't even reach for the bow.

She could have been a predator, would have been doing the herd a service

Finished with the tracker. Found a little more blood but not because of the dog. The dog couldn’t pick up a line on the deer. She’s suspects because it is not Fatally injured deer. A fatal injury would provide an interdigital scent. The dog never picked this up. She suspects, as did I, that it was a shoulder hit and that deer is out breeding does.

This is going to sound crazy, but I don’t want to, this is unreal, and I am going to wait for the right buck to come by

I was mostly kidding. I love seeing that kind of action. Pre rut is much better hunting IMHO. Hope the right one comes by. Best of luck.

Up at the house. Lots of movement tonight, just not the right ones. Back at it again in the morning. Have to be out of the tree by 10 to go get my oil changed in the truck but planning on getting right back in the stand when I finish up with that

Good luck man. I'll be up for a morning hunt with you.

State forest hunt. Have to wear blaze orange bc muzzleloader has already started. I'll be zigging and zagging all kinds of pressure. Haha
