Lol WHEN THEY WORK. I haven’t used them since probably 2014. I’m gonna get some today though. I’ve gotta go get arrows and gonna pick up some new arrows and straps for my other lone wolf. Headed to Scheels. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Hah...nope. He is going to keep hunting and try to double up. I will absolutely post pic as soon as I get one. Sure hope it is bigger. His bucks tend to have ground shrinkage. He's been putting lots of time in. His daughters often get the bigger bucks.
Gonna climb down and slowly scout up this ridge toward the neighbors corn and see if there is any sign to set up on tomorrow or Tuesday. Can’t hunt this evening bc we’re hanging foam board in the in-laws barn for our camper this winter. Good luck everyone
Ridges are where you wanna be for cruising bucks the next few weeks. There won't be much sign, rubs, scrapes, but find the military crest, and you will see evidence of a run that bucks use to catch the rising thermals in the morning, and preferably the wind coming over the top of the ridge.
Shooter 7 or 8 over by where that doe was earlier. Grunted at him a couple times. He grunted a minute ago. Waiting to see where he goes

I’m out.. 4 hours of being rained on on a morning it wasn’t supposed to rain… is enough for me Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
A little late to the party, but congrats @Ridgerunner3 and loved the story. Lords prayer 6 times sounds like you were holed up for an eternity HAHA. Good luck to everyone out today and rest of this week. Hopefully weather is in the clear for you all and these big boys start dropping.
Looks like the does bedded down. Haven’t seen the buck in a little bit. Not sure if he’s lurking in the brush or if he moves on.
Slow movement again this morning. That 140 10 came by. He worked a scrape then walked right by me at 10 yards. He caught my foot tracks and checked up for 1/2 hour. I was holding my bow and literary couldn't even twitch. He finally walked off real slow. My hands were getting COLD and was glad to see him leave. For a young buck, he sure was cautious. Then 3 does and that was it. Should have sat a bit longer I was getting chilled. At the cabin with the woodstove cranked. Damn that feels good.!
